Who Is CEDA?

Clearwater Economic Development Association, Inc (CEDA) fosters cooperation among local government, business, tribal and community leaders, as well as forging improved coordination among all levels of government, to leverage limited public resources.

The ability to foster and leverage networks and partner relationships is central to successful development in north-central Idaho and improving the lives of the people who live there.

  • CEDA routinely provides planning and educational programs to communities and businesses as well as referrals to other service and nonprofit organizations.
  • CEDA supports business start‐up, expansion, and retention through direct technical assistance, financing, and community infrastructure projects.
  • CEDA’s primary aim is to improve the economic conditions and quality of life for the residents of north central Idaho.
  • CEDA is designated as the planning organization for the Clearwater Economic Development District by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).  Designated by EDA in 1968, CEDA has the distinction of being the oldest continuously active Economic Development District west of the Mississippi.
